Is everybody up for a great challenge? Good, here is what we are going to do:

Everyone is going to search the site for one or two of the "unknown artist"……one who frequents the site is a must though. This might require watching their profile for a few days or even a week!

Their gallery should contain 36+ images and the final requirement is this is someone that you believe really deserves to shine in our spotlight so that they receive the recognition that they deserve.

I know that we have some fantastic artists of all genres that are being lost in the shadows.

Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to dispel that shadow and bring that artist forward to me. PM me

Let’s see how many we can find! It isn’t a race. This isn’t something you can accomplish easily in one day, so take a few deep breaths, get a cuppa coffee, a cuppa tea or your favorite beverage and start browsing the site.

The artist you choose needs to have works that consist of what is considered higher quality……that means no pet snapshots, not a lot of wild things, no grandkids images or niece and nephew images,etc/

Count me in. Mimi would be an excellent choice IMO. Well deserving of it too.....she helps sooo many around here.

Seems it's already happened. We just need mimi to write us a short bio and run it by caedes for publication on the front page! Or maybe we should just run it by Caedes ourselves since this must put mimi in a somewhat awkward position.

There isn't anyone on the site that is more helpful than Mimi. There isn't anyone on the site that is more caring and attentive than she. She is so sweet, a cube of sugar would be sour next to her. Yes, grand idea. Mimi for our next artist because it's long overdue. After her reign,then we can search for unknown but deserving artists of which there are many. But-Mimi first. It's true that Mimi deserves the recognition and we all appreciate the hard work that she puts into the site. As we honor the long standing members let's also search out the up and coming new members and encourage them and their work to bloom so we can enjoy their accomplishments and nurture their growth. We were all nubies at point and old members spurred us to new heights and inspired us with ideas. It's time for us to mentor others. You have the challenge. Please take time to act on it. Thanks to all of the caedes family for making this site great.

Perhaps a good way to encourage this would be to have the link to 'New Artists' in a more prominent place. At present it is included in 'Other Stuff' a place I would guess some members never venture into.

If it were on the front page, and changed weekly it would remind people to take a look, say hello, and give encouragement.
