I am not technically inclined when it comes to producing websites at all, especially one of this magnitude, but would it be possible to add to the site the option to change your username without having to open a new account. Like I said, I don't know all the tech behind such a change....Just a suggestion.

I believe all the images you upload are tagged with you username, plus all the pages attached to it (such as your profile and gallery). I don't know much about HTML either but I don't think it would be a straightforward process.

Technically, we can change a username. However, there are a lot of problems that would be caused by allowing changes. Confusion and impersonation issues come to mind. I encourage people to remain under the same username because it is very important to me personally in remembering each member. The two major identifiers for me are a person's avatar (person icon) and username, and if one of those changes I usually have to take a period to adjust.

Agreed...it would be like changing your email address or cell phone number. You'd have to go around telling everyone you've changed it..kind of annoying!! Which I guess is why I haven't changed anything in years!
