Is there a change in the voting system? The score seems to change more often than before, I mean it changes more in a day. Am I right?

I have just realized that brand new, freshly uploaded shots have also C-index. Well, what happened?

Thank you *caedes, I have never seen so many threads started since this all happened. But it was a good thing in it's own certain way. You have a great weekend. Did you ever go to the Caedes campfire, I thought I saw you sitting in a tree watching how everyone would react. Did you take Bob's speedo?

While seeing people happy usually is a good thing, I'd like to offer, as a suggestion, that those who bemoaned it's absense now roll with the punches and take it with a grain of salt if/when a C score doesn't meet your expectations.

I for one, and I suspect I'm in a rather small minority here, was happy to see the scores gone. I still think we as a group would be better off simply sharing and commenting and critiquing honestly (key word there) instead of handing out arbitrary numbers with no solid basis in merit, quality, or any of the other factors artwork is judged elsewhere.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

I like the "sharing" part also, but on the other hand, I imagine there will always be "two sides" so hopefully, this C
being back will make both sides happy. It'd be nice to think we can choose what we want to do. Freedom is a good thing, and us having a choice is great too. V

I believe that is what most of us already do.

What I just noticed is you get a c-index score almost immediately after posting your photo. I liked it the old way.

Yes, apparently we have all noticed the return of the c-index so I'm abit puzzled about the object of this thread...surely not to discuss it all over again!...in all probability we all have the same opinions as before, we all know how volatile it can be, the topic has been around longer than any of us here...it's almost as old as the site itself...haven't we beaten that dead horse enough?...sorry, Lyn, I really don't mean to be disrespectful, but I'm with Bob...everyone Shhhhh...or, you run the risk of opening up the whole can of worms all over again.

I did not intend it to develop into an argument for and against. I was merely expressing my pleasure in its return - I hope the "for and against thing" can be laid to rest.
I see it a bit like a tv program- if you dont like the C-index don't look at it :)

Ditto discussions.

My mistake, but if I had not mentioned it someone else would have - in fact someone else did 3 hours later in another thread.

It was not meant to be provocative.

Bowing out of this one.
