resizing and uploading

If there is anyone who has any other ideas as to why I cannot upload photos in caedes, please please PM me or write it here.I apologize for my keeping on asking for help, but I don't know what else to do. Many have tried to help, but nothing works, and I've tried a ton of things. Just now I resized my photo once again, down to
800x609 pixels, and it still did not work. The only thing I have not done is to get a new ISP. Does anyone have a recommendation? How about NewZero? Anyone have that? Please help. I would like so much to come back with uploads. I miss posting my photos.Thx. V

Verna, the ISP susually has little to do with it. Go to here and click on the gold pyramid. See what type of speed you are running. If i remember correctly you are running dial up. The slightest fault on your line will slow you doen even further. I think that site will work with dial up. If not go to 2wire and click the box in the upper corner that says 'speed test'. We primarily need to know the upload speed from the test. Even at 56k (about the top dial up speed) it is going to take a while to upload, anything below that and the server is probably timing out because it is taking to long to upload. The problem is most likely with your line (trust me, its what I do for a living) or your computer and not your ISP or the server here at caedes.

Ok, I took that test...and Yes I am on dial up. So what the two numbers said was 26 kbps with the down arrow
and 103 kbps with the up arrow. Is that what you wanted to know? V

Yes, thank you. The trouble is with your phone line. Trust me, it's what I do for a living. The up number should always be smaller or equal to the down number. Call your local phone Company, tell them you are only getting 26k download speed when as of a few months ago you were at 56k (tell them that and stick with it even if we're just supposing) and DEMAND they come out and check the OUTSIDE lines (no charge for that, they have to do it), and get your speed back up to where it used to be.
