I don't know the right place to post this .

Dear caedes,

A freind has since some weeks ADSL from speedxs.nl and when he want to visit
www.caedes.net he don't get response from your DNS. He checked with some
other people on his adress range and they have the same problems.

83.98.240.0/20 doesn't get answer from your DNS-server(s).

infernoz.speedxs.nl / # nslookup
> server 66.98.168.4
Default server: 66.98.168.4
Address: 66.98.168.4#53
> www.ceades.net
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

seems this IP range ( or part of it ) is blacklisted.

with a friendly greeting from,

my freind Noud.

Just a note: it looks like they were actaully looking for "ceades.net" not "caedes.net". I own both though, so they should have been able to query it. Can they do a lookup on camum.com?

That's odd.. the ip range 83.98.240.0/20 is reported as reserved by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority. That would mean that no one is supposed to use those ip addressess... I'll look into it further.

It looks like the ip range might have been recently allocated for the first time. Can you go to http://ev1servers.net/?

http://ev1servers.net works

Speedxs.nl took recently this IP range in use ( few month )

It's probably just that the datacenter where caedes.net is hasn't updated those routing tables yet. I'll give it a few weeks and then email the network admins about it. Thanks.

It turns out that it was the firewall that I have on the DNS. Apparently it was set to block all unroutable ip addresses (ones which are not allocated for use), however when the addresses were allocated to your ISP I was not informed. My guess is that there are many other sites which will have the same problem since the firewall that I was suing was pretty popular.
