Before I delete the last shot I submitted I'd like to get some constructive critique on it. (I did receive some nice comments earlier but that does not help me to understand what my apparent failure is though. (Thanks go out to those who took time to vote though. ^_^ I's not always one get as many clear vote as quickly as I got here.)
I'm not doing much architectural shots so I guess I need some pointers. I've already guessed as much that it's probably too dark for most people. Is there anything besides this that I need to think of?

Well, I would have set it up so the lattice part runs horizontally, as opposed to on an angle, and more to one side as opposed to in the middle (so it follows the rule of thirds). Other than that, it's a highly detailed, interesting architectural shot, which makes good use of the scene's leading lines.
Thanks guys, I do appreciate the input very much. :) I kind of liked the angle but I see the point I think. I'll meddle around and see if I can do it in the post processing.
It needs some more spice. The colors are kind of bland and the subject is not very interesting. The angle is neat, but it needs to be a lot more stunning to make the image interesting.
Thanks for the input Matthew. :) I always have had a hard time shooting buildings and in a city environment in general. That's why I tried it out this time I guess. Back to the drawing-board I guess. ^_^
Personally I quite like it. The angles are interesting to me, I think you captured the subject quite well. It's impossible to know why people vote the way they do... sorry I know this isn't very helpful...
The only real criticism I might have is that the image lacks a clear focal point. But in many shots like this, such a device might not be practical (you know, the diminishing horizon aspect).
