The All Seeing Eye

This I thought was rather interesting. On the back of a One Dollar Bill, you will notice one of the Seals. A Pyramid and the Eye. I am still baffled as to why this is our Seal...

This is a brief translation of what it actually means.

1.) The Pyramid Shape denotes history.
2.) The fact that it is Unfinished means something was not finished in the past. Meaning it must be destroyed in the past, to be created in the futre.
3.) There are 13 exact steps to the top. For obvious reasons this is quite demonic.
4.) The Eye with the "Missing Piece" and the glow. This was actually the eye of Satan back in the early 1700's. The glow is supposed to give the eye its symbolic representation of some superior being. The missing piece denotes what is needed to complete "The Task" and the owner of the eye shall bring that goal (Satan).
5.) 2 Forked "Tongues" at the ends of the ribbons showing a type of serpentine appeal.
6.) The translations of the Latin Terms:
"Annuit Coeptis": Announcing The Birth
"Novus Ordor Seclorum": New World Order
7.) Notice how Annuit Coeptis is also 13 letters....

Basically it seems to suggest Creating a new world order as satan or an evil as the leader. Not trying to suggest anything....but pretty Creepy!

Comments please :)

Ditto - definately masonic origins in the history.

Found these QUOTES on the net::

" "The Great Seal was first used on the reverse of the one-dollar Federal Reserve note in 1935. The Department of State is the official keeper of the Seal. They believe that the most accurate explanation of a pyramid on the Great Seal is that it symbolizes strength and durability. The unfinished pyramid means that the United States will always grow, improve and build. In addition, the "All-Seeing Eye" located above the pyramid suggests the importance of divine guidance in favor of the American cause.

The inscription ANNUIT COEPTIS translates as "He (God) has favored our undertakings," and refers to the many instances of Divine Providence during our Government's formation. In addition, the inscription NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM translates as "A new order of the ages," and signifies a new American era."

Also::
"Due to incomplete records, nobody knows exactly how many of the founding fathers were Masons. But there were quite a few, including George Washington, Ben Franklin, and possibly Thomas Jefferson. Franklin and Jefferson were on the committee assigned to design the great seal. This group produced a design calling for, among other things, an all-seeing eye. While the eye was cool, the design otherwise pretty much stank, and the job wound up getting dumped on the secretary of the Congress, Charles Thomson. Thomson enlisted the aid of Philadelphian William Barton. The two cooked up the scheme we have today, incorporating the all-seeing eye plus a pyramid, because everybody liked the idea of Egyptian symbolism. "

I'v always been very interested in the tangle of freemasonry in our country's history. There is also a very interesting book that discusses the symbolism used in creating the layout for our capital (Washington, DC), by David Ovason. Link here.

I also found that when they made this Seal, they actually hid it from the public for a period of time. I guess it a forbidon symbol until it got introduced later in the 1700's. Then I guess it was removed until much later when a more recent president re admitted it. How strange.

Annuit Coepitis doesn't "equate to He has favored our undertakings"...lol

Annuit coeptis - God has favored us (our undertaking, i.e. the founding of the United States) look here:

Virgil wrote the phrase "Magnus ab integro seclorum nascitur ordo", from which Charles Thomson crafted "Novus Ordo Seclorum" which, as Mythica correctly points out, has nothing to do with a new world order, but rather the new age or era as envisioned by the creation of this one nation under God. "Novus ordo seclorum" cannot translate into "new world order" in any case look here:

Forget devil worship, although the Masonic influence has merit, at least in theory. Thirteen steps, demonic? How about signifying the original thirteen colonies. Recall that the eagle is clutching thirteen arrows as well ("Bello vel Pace Paratus" – Prepared in War or in Peace) look here:

The eye within the triangle (the Holy Trinity), surrounded by a circle and radiating rays of light is used to symbolize the holiness of the one true 'all seeing' God. This is a well known symbol dating back to at least 1584 and the art of Hieronymous Bosch, and has nothing to do with wichcraft in the 1700s. And as for the mysterious pyramid and the eye look here:

Your thoery is possible ..but maybe the 13 colonies was a demonic sign ..and because of the 13 colonies 13 became a symbolic number for america ..is it just conincidence that it is symbolic for satan too?

And Christ shall reign for a thousand years, and for sometime thereafter, satan

Christ's reign is over ..it was in the middle ages . . so would that mean that we live in the time of satan's reign?

What about the Puritans or whoever it was that was burning witches because they were evil? Why would they allow for there to be 13 colonies if it was evil, because didn't they flee and go and set up Rhode Island for religious freedom? I might be trying to combine two different groups into one... I can't remember... that time in American History bored me.

Instead of just the power that excised at the time. You have to realize that one of the reasons for the founding of this country was the need for religious beleafs and the freedoms allowed at the time.

prismmagic, I don't think that Radjehuty was in anyway making it seem that he was obsessed with this at all! I think it was intelligent, and friendly to try and start a discution with his friends here on caedes. However, I do find it interesting that you accused him of that..

I ironicly just finished the chapter in our History books that talked about this time in history. And yes they did come to the americas to religious freedom, but then the Protestants, mainly the Puritians, did the same thing, didn't serve religious freedom to anyone but themselves ..which is why the other religions settled in other colonies to set up there own religious freedom. I think the only colony that actually served religious tolerance for most all people and religions was Maryland. ..settled by Catholics.

But from a public school students respective, and their parents for that matter, to just dismiss the idea that Dave (radjehuty) shared with us, which seems to be what you're doing, is just ignorant. You should at least take this into consideration ..it may be just a coincidence ..maybe not. Who knows.

Dave, no this is a good discussion, at least I'm interested, I would be disapointed to miss out on discussing this and for you to hit the delete button. (it there were one) ..Don't be discouraged.

Thanks for the support Sean!

I didn't mean to imply that our country was founded by satin worshipping people. I just thought that a particular article was interesting. It definately could have been a coincidence!

I enjoy History and looking at how we as a society have evolved. Just about every system back then was critically flawed (with special attention to the judicial system) by today's standards. I guess you might have to do a little research to understand what I am trying to say. There is an interesting controdiction with the creation of the Seal, and the Zeitgeist of that time when it was made.

If you were accused of witchcraft, you were litterally taken to court that second. You had litterally 2 options:

1.) Confess: and be spared your life, but obviously your reputation is oblitterated.
2.) Plead Innocence: and be hanged (or in some places burned).

That was your only 2 options.

It seams that in a highly superstitious society, it was interesting to me that a Seal of that nature with so many superstitious potentials would actually make it as the Seal of the United States! With the 13 this and that, and the ominous Eye encapsulated in the pyramid top with a strange light. The odd and often misunderstood latin words. I just figured that it would be castrated and forgotten due to the thinking of that time.

No offence in any way Dave, but I think this is (for lack of a better term) hooey! ;) I understand where you may get the idea, and it is an interesting topic, but I think that it's just best left in the past.

Sean: "Christ's reign is over ..it was in the middle ages . . so would that mean that we live in the time of satan's reign?" Christ hasn't reigned yet. In fact, I don't see how anyone could see Him as reigning because He was beaten and eventually killed in what was considered the worste form of death in the days He lived on earth, and actually I believe you mixed the two up. It's that after the rapture, Satan will reign for a thousand years and Christ will then overthrown him. If we're talking about the same belief system of course ;) Although I can't speak for your beliefs, so I can't be quite sure. All this said in good faith of course (no not a pun).

I don't see science as evil...

And witchcraft if you looked into it, is not evil. It has quite the bad reputation because of what it was like 200+ years ago, but modern witch craft is completely different. To me...Science could be like god's way of slowly revealing his secrets to us. In a way that we can rationalize anyways ^^

But that part of the bible that you quoted is true, and that is exactly what this Seal was originally designed around back in the ol' days. Of course it isn't what it means now, but I thought it was interesting to know what it's original intent was.

Well, the information I got it from was my cousin since she practices Wica, which is witchcraft. And, it does not worship the devil.

I can't believe that Science itself is evil. Finding a cure for cancer as a science is hardly a form of evil. I do agree with you that more than ever the church seems like a convenience store if science fails. That being said, are you positive that we as a human society should abandon Science because it so called diminishes people's faith? Most of us rely on science as a means to even get to church! Science is an extremely broad term, and it took science(even back a couple thousand years) to even build the structure to make the church. There will always be evil uses for anything we Humans come up with, but I don't think that Science by itself caused the so called diminshing on the church. Also, there are even Scientific studies to prove some miracles as actual miracles! Which can reinforce the religious community. Science is a tool that we have always used ever since the beginning of our existence, and it will continue.

All in all, sorry for apparently insulting you.

I follow you on the Science follow-up. But it really depends on the personality of the person. It really is up to the individual whether or not Science destroys thier faith or not. For some, they rely on Science because maybe they are the kind of person that needs visible proof of everything and needs to rationalize everything in order to function and so religion may be out of the picture. Whether or not Science is a factor in the destruction of the religious culture depends on an individual level. I am very heavy in Science, and love to analyze everything, but I still practice religion that often times violates part of my personality. But I still believe in it. There are many people like that.

Yes, I can agree with this.

"I still practice religion that often times violates part of my personality. But I still believe in it. There are many people like that." Again. And I have to say that that is good.

But I was refering more to when the Enlightenment was in play. Then, science was a big faith turner. But now no one has a faith to be ruined my science. Science is already in society, and faith is not. But yes it is possible to have faith and science.

I think it is more of a cultural issue. I know that where I live, many people would say that they don't go to church because they simply don't have the time or energy. I'm not too sure it really matters anyways. If a person doesn't want to practice a religion for whatever reason, it's really up to them. What really matters in that case is what happens after death.

I also don't think that we should blame Science in general for the so called reduction in faith. Back a couple thousand years ago, people weren't governed by the clock like we are now. It's more of the issue of society than it is science. The two interact. The advancement of technology effects Society, and Society effects the advancement of technology. Either way, humans are much too complex to blame any sort of societal act on one cause alone. IMHO, the reduction in faith is due to the rather abrupt change in society (especially this country). We seem to go day by day like robots almost. Getting up at 6AM, coming home at 5PM, do the same thing every day. It's true though that church seems like a hastle and is always last choice for some people.
