I am (trying to) redesign my website at the moment and since I have given up on using tables to make the animated menu (which is impossible) I am wondering if I should try making a flash animated menu instead. So I was wondering what would be the best app to use and if anyone has any advice for me. Thanks.
there are a few free programs out there as well (though i think macromedia has a free version) and they have a bunch of presets and stuff. but the results are a toss up on whether they will actually work or not. try the macromedia website and see if they are still offering a free version. I found it very simple to learn (simple enough to forget a couple yrs later)
You can use javascript and/or CSS. I'd prefer that over flash since I don't have flash installed on my computer. You'd have to make a non-flash version anyway if your at all concerned with non-flash people.
Thanks BJ. I did see that one on my travels but didn't think I could use it for what I wanted... I will take another look. Caedes, I would prefer something that everyone could use, and what I want to make seems very simple to me , but I am not having any success making it in Dreamweaver. I will try using javascript but the interface just doesn't seem to allow me to create what I want.
IF you can't be arsed diving into macromedia Flash, try www.coffeecup.com Prog you be looking for is Firestarter, it's a simple Flash bsed proggie, great for making banners or small intros.
