Darkaliryn- when you sign on to caedes.net from another computer, you are automatically logged off from the previous one. Your member name can only be in use on one computer at any given time.

What if they are networked Tom? I guess if that were the case logging off any of them would log her off all?

dunno what that is. i feel very very stupid today. but since you smiled i'll guess i haven't been. it'd be something that i know nothing about. i know some stuff about computers but it's nothing next to what site designers & such know. oh well, i guess it's not that big a deal, just a little weird . . .

The site only updates who's online every 5-or-so (if I remember) minutes. Previously, it worked in realtime, but it took far too much of the server's resources so caedes changed it to make things faster.

Even if I had read the source code, I wouldn't be able to make much sense out of it, I am not well versed in mark-up languages. BASIC & UNIX are the digital languages I am familiar with. Honestly, I have enough problems with just the English language.
To put it in a nutshell, when you set up your own five computer network and have three caedes members in the house, you tend to notice stuff like that.
