I remember about a month ago the pictures in the regular galleries where all super awesome. Now half the stuff I don't even like. I think it only the elite pictures should go into the regular galleries. I loved it when every picture I downloaded was awesome, now I need to look for the good ones. Every other wallpaper site is like that. Caedes used to really stick out above the rest, but now its not that much higher.

Unless I am mistaken, the stuff in the regular galleries is there because it has acheived a particular rating. As the rating is based on votes from members, they should only get there if they are popular enough... so even though they might not be to everyones taste, they must still be "good", I guess...

Tim, I also wonder what order you are veiwing the images in... if you are ordering by c-index, you will only see the ones rated 90+... I don't think any of these could be considered junk.

I think what he saying is, when you go into the the regular galleries that you shouldn't have to view with the c-index on, because all of them should be good. Is that what your saying Tim?

yeah he's saying that too much is being moved from the "new images" into the permanent galleries, in terms of there's too much quantity and not enough quality.

is there a numerical C-index rating that is required for an image to go permanent? i thought there was NOT such a prereq.

No there isn't. The c-index is just to make it a little easier to find the quality work.

Hard to believe that anyone viewing ANY of these pictures could say that they were not of incredible talent. Can you create like these artists can?

Maybe people should consider what they're opinion is worth before simply referring to this or any other website as being 'ordinary' and filled with images that are unworthy of your attention.

I'd have to agree with you Rorschach - afterall, Picasso, Van Gogh et al were considered junk too :) It's all in the eye of the beholder.
