I need help with my Paint Shop tools plz?

I am in a panic. In my Paint Shop Pro...does anyone have it too?
For some reason my colour pallet on the right side of the screen is gone, and all the tools with it. I know there is a way to get it back, but I don't know what it is. This happened once before, a long while back. I don't know how it suddenly disappeared. Does anyone know how I can get that back?? I use it all the time.

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne

Hi Verena

I have Paint Shop Pro 7 but haven't installed it on my new laptop. I remember there's a way to get various palettes back (sometimes I close them without thinking when they're in the way), but I can't check directly till I install it again.

On the other hand, I have an instruction booklet for PSP 7, and it says:

"Use any of the following methods to display or hide the Colour palette:

(1) Choose View>Toolbars and select or clear the 'colour palette' checkbox.
(2) Right-click any palette, choose Toolbars from the menu, and then select or clear the 'colour palette' checkbox.
(3) Right-click any palette and choose 'colour palette' from the menu, or...
(4) Press <C>"

I hope that's useful. :-)

Thanx so much!! I will work on it right now, and see what happens. Hope it works. I'm not so great about stuff like that.
I'll let you know..V

From my memory, if I went to the View menu (or wherever), and chose 'toolbars', a little list would appear of the different toolbars or palettes. If I had accidentally closed one, the box next to its name would be blank, and I had to click in it to select it again.

I'm curious about the last option ('press C') as I don't think I ever knew about that. :-)

I really need help from somewhere. I can't even find the window that allows me to choose the font, or anything at all.

I found an internet help page that says: "To access the Customize Toolbar preferences window, right click on a toolbar [any toolbar or palette, I suspect] and choose 'Toolbars' from the drop-down list."

Here's a screenshot of the toolbar list that should then pop up -- if you go a little way down the page, it's the square grey box titled 'Toolbars'. 'Color Palette' is part of the way down that list.

As part of the provided link/screen shot from Tootles;

"When you have toolbars open, you can hit “T” on the keyboard to remove the toolbars from your workspace and “T” again to bring them back. This is very handy when you have a smaller monitor and want to reclaim some space on your workspace."

Hello Verena,

You don't say which version of Paint Shop Pro you're using but if it's PSP X/X1/X2 (PSP v. 10/11/12) you can click on
File, then choose 'Workspace' from the drop-down list,
then click on 'Load', which gives you the option of loading the Default Workspace including the toolbar you're missing.

Kind regards,
Anne-Marie
