HDMI and a 32" LCD TV as a monitor

My computer has a excellent video card with 1G DDR3 dedicated memory. I would like to hook up a 32 inch LCD TV 1080pi as a monitor using a HDMI cord. My eyes are getting weak and I would benifit greatly from a bigger monitor. If I do this will I see true colors while working in Photoshop? or will my colors be off? Will I also benefit from the use of a monitor adjustment tool like a Huey? Lets say it all does work. Will I likely be glued to the new monitor and run the risk of never leaving the house? Thank You for your help.

If you did what you are suggesting Moose you would end up with a large low definition screen.
It would be better you fit a graphics card to your PC then buy a large size DVI / HDMI monitor. Then you could see pix in 1680x1050, or even 1920x1080 high definition. That's what I did, & the clarity is pin sharp. (o:

Beware 32 inch LCD monitors are expensive !

1080p supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1080, so it wouldn't necessarily be a lower definition screen than the computer monitor.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am thrilled with the performance of my new monitor TV. I purchased a 1080pi with a 120hz refresh rate. Not only do I not need my glasses to see the screen, I can also play videos with no loss in quality. My video card already had 2M of DDR3 dedicated memory, thats dedicated for the video card only. Not shared. So performance of the PC was not an issue, but I am wondering about color quality. I have not been disappointed with my choice. I still kept my old monitor for critical work.
