Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop after trouble I am having with my computer?

I have been having computer problems. I did a System REstore, and I got another hard drive to be sure and back up all my things, which I did, so they are safe. Before the system restore I could not load my photos from my ZoomBrowser, which is where they load to from my Cannon Camera, to my Photo file on my desktop. Then I did the restore and now they do that just fine. But the problem is that I cannot upload any of the photos to caedes OR to any email I send. The question is...should I uninstall my Photoshop and Paint Shop? and then RE install or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

No you shouldn't need to uninstall photoshop or paint shop they have nothing to do with uploading to Caedes or emails

But the thing is that NONE of my photos will upload to either caedes or any of the emails I send. You got any other ideas?
There is no reason for it. I've done all the clean up etc. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Or can you refer me to someone?

Verena....Can you provide more details? What happens after you click the browse button on Caedes, and go to your Photo Folder on your desktop? Also, is your Photo Folder on your desktop a shortcut?

nothing happens when I click the browse button, I waited for almost an hour, and nothing came up. Also when I try to send a photo by email, it will NOT do it. Yes, I have Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro as shortcuts on my desktop. I have never had that happen with my Hotmail or any other email accts. I tried again just now, and it will NOT upload it at all. I guess I'll just have to get another puter. I DID save everything to a backup drive.

just a thought....

Sometimes the 'Brower' tends to 'hide'...a few times mine has hid just below the lower task bar!, and needs to be dragged back up on screen!...(This is in Photoshop!)

If you go to the 'Top' task bar...click on 'Window' .. scroll down to 'Reset all Palette locations' and click that...this might help!..

Verena...It doesn't sound like this has anything to do with PSP, PS, or the Canon software. What browser and browser version are you using...Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Firefox, or ? You may need to uninstall/reinstall the browser.

I use Firefox. I think I might need to see about getting another computer, trying not to have to just yet tho. But I STILL cannot upload a single photo anywhere. Uninstall/reinstall Firefox??

Bob. that worked for my Photoshop just great, but NOT for my Paint Shop, I can't find a way to put the pallette back, and that is THE ONE that I need.

I reinstalled my Paint Shop Pro 7... and they were right! Just pressing 'c' on the keyboard brings the colour palette back. If it's not appearing, then there's something else wrong. Maybe reinstalling Paint Shop Pro really would help. I save my custom gradients separately before reinstalling, (and other customized things such as textures and tubes), just in case they disappear during the reinstallation. :-) No harm having a backup of them anyway.

Verena, I believe that Bob and Tootles comments are in relation to your previous thread found here .

And yes, I would suggest uninstalling Firefox, rebooting the computer and then reinstalling Firefox, to see if you are then able to upload photos.

I'm curious to know if you are also unable to upload photos using Internet Explorer.

I havent tried Internet Explorer but I will try to make time for doing some of these things today. I really appreciate all the input. Any previous thread I posted has nothing to do with this one. THis is a totally different thing. I am having several computer problems. Different then I ever have before.
I did a System Restore also. I've tried different things, and there are some things that are just NOT changing. For example..from who knows where there is another "task bar" that suddenly appeared on the right side of my desktop about a week ago, and I cannot find a way to get rid of it. I also lost the little 'icon' on the regular Firefox area that lets you go open another window while the others are still running. Well, there are many things that have gone wrong. I will be back in touch a bit later today. V

I wouldn't know where to upload photos to in Internet Explorer. I couldn't get anything to work right in there. But I've never used it all that much.

Just open Internet Explorer and type the URL for Caedes, and see if you are able to upload a new image.
