I noticed a few problems on the site, the characters, avatars and thumbnails are bigger than usual, also when i voted on photos, the photos were from 2003,2004,2005 etc... it must be a server glitch.Did anyone else notice the same problem? thank you.

Make sure that you don't have "zoom" turned on in your browser. I did that once, and it can be difficult to figure out the cause at first.

Older images will appear in the voting booth some times. That was expected due to a small change that I made a few days ago.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Jerome, I'm glad you brought up the VB thing, as I was voting on very old images earlier today and wondered about it.

I have been getting older images to vote on, as well, as far back as 2003. It just started happening a few days ago. Also, with the older images in the VB stream of photos, there are less of the newer images being voted on in the same time span, thus taking longer for the C-I to show up. If a picture is already in a permanent gallery, what is the sense of it being voted on now, even though the C-I has nothing to do with it being in a permanent gallery? A picture of mine was selected to a perm, with a C-I of 59, and whether or not it goes up or down anymore is of no consequence to me. Just curious about this.

Yes, I have been getting older images for voting also- back to 2003, and I am pleased to learn there is a reason for it.

Could the fact that more current members are opting for their images NOT to be included in the Voting system also have a bearing?

In addition, and in reference to what Mr. Caedes has said, getting the older images to vote on is not happening sometimes...but most of the time. At least 50% or more of the images I get to vote on are oldies, from three or more years ago. Just thought I's throw that in for good measure.

I think seeing the older pictures are potentially educational. Since they are from the permanent galleries, they are essentially of high quality and thus present themselves as possible examples of what well crafted posts looks like.

I just don't get it, 95% of what I got in the VB was older photos from years past, and I have images that have been sitting for over five day now that have not gotten any more votes then six some only have two votes. I just don't remember it taking so long to have our photos voted on. It like the new images are at a stand still.

Just my opinion, but once a picture is archived, or is selected for a perm gallery, they should not be voted on any more. There is no point to it.

I agree with Jim's comment. Why should we be voting on images from the past? They had their time in the spotlight either short lived or not. I notice that my recent images are not getting any scores of late, is that because the oldies are taking up the space in the VB? Inquiring minds would like to know why this change?? I for one would like to vote on the new ones!

I see that all comments on this issue under "Non-art Website issues" have been deleted. So I repeat my comment here. I also see no point in voting on images which are 3 or 4 years old. The artist himself/herself will hardly be interested to see any change in the C-Index of an image that was posted 4 years ago. Besides, the photo technique and the editing softwares have improved in the past 4 years - An image that received a c-index of 80 four years ago will probably end up somewhere between 60 and 70 today. It will be interesting to know why Caedes has done this.

Raj, all the comments were not deleted. That thread was simply moved to the Elephant Graveyard since it was the third thread on the same topic. You can go to that thread and read everything including the last response that I typed. I hope it will help you understand a bit.
Have a great day!

In the older contests list ( BTW- It is mispelled as "Olders Contests") when you click through to view the winners, the previews are blank but when the blank preview is clicked on, the full size image does show up.
