The Edit Journal should be a great help to members.

I'm liking the layout alot and am excited about the potential to do new things with the page but I have to confess, I have no idea what the edit journal is or how it works. Anyone?

Well I am not really certain but I presumed it was to enter any editing details of your image thus leaving the description space just for description.

I have noticed that some of the personal data is entered on the wrong lines of the members homepage. For instance: On Lyn's page..after name, it says F, and her birthday has her membership dates. There are others like this also. The journal looks to me to be a way of putting your favorite pictures on the homepage.

New lay out of my profile is looking great, but....*yes, there is a but*......there is no link to my personal website like there was on my old profile!!!! And like Kelcey I have no idea what the edit journal is or how it works?!?!?!?!?

I see LynEve has an answer for the edit journal thing, but is this correct Mr. Caedes?

But nevertheless I like the new lay out:o)

I'll be working on refining the changes that we've made to the profile pages. There are a few bugs, and we should probably add the website link back on there.

Jimbob, my membership dates appear in the correct place when I view it. My birthday remains blank. I tried to add just the month/day without the year but it did not display.

Twinkel - the link to your full gallery appears beside the "Recent Works by" heading.

Ooops - seems display varies with different browsers.

Firefox displays the personal information in the wrong places - my real name appears as F, my gender is New Zealand and my birthday is my membership dates!

Using Maxthon or IE8 they appear correctly.

I wonder why that would be??? I DO use FF for my browser, though. I also have IE, but it doesn't correct my spelling, which I need. LOL.

I have tested Opera,Google Chrome, SeaMonkey and CometBird - they all give incorrect display.

I will update my IE browser so I have spell check. I can't live without it. LOL.

I just updated the profile pages to address the comments that I've received so far. The birthday function is working better, and the information about the member should be formatted correctly. Also added back the website and "karma" fields.

The profile info is showing in Firefox now but I do not see the Edit Journal section.
It is displaying in IE


I do not see the Birthday showing in either, just Comments, Gender, Location and Membership.

In the Edit Journal there is a drop down menu on the left (beside the Remove button) which seems to have no purpose?

Eve ... there should be a dropdown box to the right of the 'EDIT' button ... this box lists all of your image's starting with the most recent one first. Then to the right of that box there should be an 'ADD' button.

Are these showing up in the Edit Journal section?

Then, thank you Caedes for all your time & work on the new features for the Homepage ... looking great. ;-)

What I see is the small drop down box on the left (the one mentioned above) Then a "Remove' button, next is the drop down box listing images, followed by a button saying "Add"
I do not see anything with "edit"

I now understand I do now see'Birthday' beacuse I have not added it to my profile :)

I just noticed it says Comments instead of Karma..

I feel that one thing needs tweeking... on the profile pages "recent works" shouldn't include deleted, rejected, or limboed images.

Oops, sorry Eve. I meant to say / write the 'REMOVE' button. I was in the process of editing my own website & of course I have an 'edit' button, so was thinking of that atm.

Tom, I think that's only visible to Praetors. If you check while not logged in you should be able to see only the normal approved images.

Karma is labeled "Comments" though...

Apparently I have massive comments...

As you add a list of images to your journal, I noticed that the main image on the profile page changes with the recently added image. Is there any way to have an image of my choosing for the profile page under journal, then when you open journal.....You see the other images I have chosen......does this make sense?

in safari (mac) all that appears is correct. i do not, however, see a place for a birthday (which i would very much like to see.

You have to set your birthday in your profile before it will show up.

I like it & I love that little unhappy face for where to go to complain ! I busted up when I saw what it was ! LOL !

And I love that we can now showcase a piece of art on our homwpage, that seriously rocks, but are there plans in the works for us to be able to comment on our journals instead of editing the piece to say something ?

I like the new layout but I want to change the location field on my profile and it won't let me. Any ideas?

Steve, just go to Controle Panel at the left of the page and go to....Edit profile....underneath your username and you can change your location:)

Steve, did you click the 'Make Changes' button after you typed in your location?

No, actually that does not work either :( I tried and my location remained as it was before.
Must be a glitch
