"To the world you are just one person, but to just one person, you could mean the world" or " If you love someone, put their name in a circle, not a heart, because a heart can be broken but a circle can go on forever."
well u cant say their not good in skill no matter what your taste is. Because there are only three people in the band, even live. The bass player (Geddy lee) please Keys, Bass, and Sings all at the same time somtimes

rush has always been a fav. technically, i think they were all, but especially neil, the absolute best at what they do. i mean, have you seen the drummers set up? he can keep perfect 64th time while managing to add a small bell thats got to be 5 feet away. amazing.
trees and la via strangiato were two of their best. i think.

Yes, Rush is from Canada. Yes, it's progessive/alternative rock something...
Most popular songs according to radio airtime would be: 1. Tom Sawyer 2. The Spirit of the Radio (I'm just guessing)
Yep, Rush is my favorite musical group.
The drummer, Neil Peart writes most of the lyrics for the band. He's also written two books. I've read the first one The Masked Rider: Cycling in West Africa.
About his journey across west Africa on bicycle along with a few other colorful characters. (sort of like a travel journal) He has a rather unique writing style, introspective at times. I very much enjoyed it. Recommended to all, not just fans.
Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboard) and Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals) have both done solo projects. Geddy's album is pretty good, similar in tone to anything Rush has done in the last 6-7 years. Alex's album (titled Victor) is quite different from the normal Rush thing. It's a darker album, but playful at times.
I too like the Presto album for it's pieces are such that they seem to draw upon my emotions with every listening. (of note: the album was produced during a time when the band members were clashing and contemplating ending the trio) Look at the lyrics to the songs on the album. Many are of aggression/war/conflict. I've always felt this strife/struggle between wanting to leave and wanting to stay had them putting a great deal of emotion into the songs, and I can certainly feel it.)
yeah gabegarwick and after that album Neil Pert lost his wife and kid. So Rush kinda just stopped and Geddy and Alex didn't wanna pressure him to come back cuz they knew he was going through alot. But one day they just got back together and made Vapor Trails. and if u listen to the lyrics u really notice how it reflects the things that Neil went through.
tbhockey,
Yup yup, After his losses, Neil wrote another book called The Ghost Rider (about his motorcycle journeys through South America trying to deal with the losses and find himself again). A lot of his personal inner-struggles in the book from what I've heard. Haven't yet read it though.
