our son is getting married on nov. 1. he wants us to do the photography. it's just a small affair so there shouldn't be too much pressure. i have the 5D and the 50D. would i use the attached flash on the 50D. are there any hints about lens and settings that anyone would help me with? i'd really appreciate your input. i sometimes wonder about the flash being too bright.

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Hi Jen - this is just a suggestion, but if you are concerned about the flash possibly being too bright, then look into a Gary Fong attachment for the flash. I recently shot a wedding using one to eliminate hot spots. During the reception the guests made comment to me, that they were not blinded by the flash as much, while the diffuser was used. For short distanced, use the camera flash. Please! be Bold with your accomplished skills and the camera. Your Son will appreciate all your effort. I would suggest you would get your best results using a 50mm lens and either camera will do an outstanding job. And your comment about not too much pressure, for Petes Sake, you are the Grooms Mom, there will always be pressure :) ..I have no doubt you can handle it.
