Cannot View Images

Several days ago, I began having trouble viewing "Friends" images as well as the three featured images that come up on the front page. Everything else works as usual on the site. I just can’t see any images, only empty white squares with a little icon in the upper top left corner that looks like a piece of 8x10 paper torn in half.

Here is what I have tried so far: I normally use Firefox for my browser so I switched over to IE (Internet Explorer). Same thing. Thinking it was my desktop computer, I went to my laptop and low and behold-same problem.

Strangely enough, I can view the images in the Voting booth as they come up for voting but they will not display under “Images You Recently Voted On”.
Following, is a list on the site of what works and what doesn't:
Personal Messages works just fine.
Comment requests images will not load.
Friends List: I can see all the script and who has submitted an image but the images will not load. Just empty squares.
All avatars display with no problem.
Comments on images display OK.
Images in Wallpaper Search will not display.
Caedes Control loads, but the images I have posted do not load.
Discussion Board loads and can see and read all categories.
I have no problem with script, just images.

I took two pictures of my computer screen, one with the front page loaded and one of what the empty image frame looks like from a Friends posting. I’ll send them to you if you want. A picture is worth a thousands words.

What do I see in the bottom left corner of my screen when trying to load images? One of two things. It either says "Waiting for i1.caedes.net or i7.caedes.net.

What in the world is going on?

Tell me what you see if you go to the following links:

1. http://i1.caedes.net/

2. http://i7.caedes.net/

http://i1.caedes.net is a pink screen that says "403 Forbidden. You do not have permission to get URL from this server".

http://i7.cades.net won't load. It times out with the following message: The server at i7.caedes.net is taking too long to respond.

I think that there is a problem with your ISP routing to the network that i7.caedes.net is on. Can you ask them to look into the problem? You would just need to say that you cannot get to the website http://i7.caedes.net/. It is on a different network than the main caedes.net site.

Just got it working, and I'll tell you what I did for the benefit of someone else who may encounter this problem. I had not yet called my ISP provider when I remembered something my son, who is fairly computer savvy, told me sometime back. He said, like computers, sometimes a router(which I am using) along with the modem needs to be unplugged, rest a few minutes then started back up-rebooted if you will. It clears little hiccups that developed like the one I was having with images. He also said it needs to be done in a certain order. Turn the modem off first, then unplug the router. Let them sit for awhile then turn the modem back on and wait for 3 of the 4 green lights to show. As soon as you have 3 green lights on the modem, plug the router back in. Wait for the yellow light on the router to light up. Then go reboot your computer. BINGO! Caedes images back up and displaying. Go figure...I don't understand it all but it worked like a charm.

Wow, that was a weird error. I'm glad you got it working though.

So am I. This site is more fun than 10 monkeys on a yard of vine. When something isn't working right, life comes to a screeching halt. Thanks for getting involved.
