lol, im bored, and out of curiousity, how many people here on caedes are mormon? I would easily go along and send a pm to everyone, but i figured this might be a bit easier.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
haha not many mormons get on the computer. i have two mormon friends. ones on the computer dates and curses. of course without her rents knowledge. the others a goody goody buts secretly is a slut. so yeah. just because we're talking about mormons.
One of my co-workers is Mormon...no computer restrictions there....maybe it depends on how strict the individual is? Like some Baptists don't believe in dancing, but others don't have an issue with it.
I am like Yin & Yang, my lighter side is balanced by my darkerside, embrace both & you get the whole me, play with one & you will meet the other...

People have the right to do what they please. Live is short, why not live it. Their faith means to them what it means and they interpret its rules how they feel, I say let em be.
I see where youre comin, but still.. they need to do what they please... in respect of their religion and not only that, but their family and everything else meaningful rather than all the meaningless things. Interpreting the rules is not always a good thing... people can interpret the wrong way... then they are not living by the true rules they should be living by.
I have a lot of respect for the mormon religion. Mormons seem to really look out for each other, and I think they're very good at spreading their beliefs and stuff. 'Course I don't know much about 'em either. Maybe I should find out what they're all about.
Anyway, I'm Christian. You know, the type of Christian that doesn't condemn everyone in the universe to hell. Afterall it's not up to me to condemn people :-) (Thank goodness! That'd be a rough job.)
Mormons are christian. Baptists don't favor the church of latter day saints... their teachings litterally preach against us, lol. I don't like to use the term of "mormon" even... that was just a nickname given earlier on from the "Book of mormon". We are saints... the church of christ, not sure how I would put it.
all i know about mormons is that they hold top notch records of births, deaths and marriages so if your trying to trace your family tree 's a good place to start
Mormons have been taught to believe the Book of Mormon — the faith's keystone text — is a literal record of God's dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas who descended from the Israelite patriarch Lehi, who sailed to the New World around 600 B.C. The book's narrative continues through about 400 A.D.
The church teaches that Joseph Smith translated this record from gold plates found on a hillside in upstate New York in 1820, when he was 14. The Book of Mormon was first published in 1830.
Yaddah, yaddah... what that means, Tyler, is that you're a saint if you believe in the Church, and non-believers are not.
all i know is that i've had some elders come into my home and i've had lessons. i can tell you that they were the nicest people that i have met in a long time. i am currently building a house and they even offered to help! i have some of the same beliefs as mormons even though i am a christian. funny how some people think that if you have a different religion that you must have different beliefs and values.
I'm Mormon. I'm going to EFY for the first time this summer. Are you going Tyler?
i like what wcladymacbeth said about Mormons. we definitely do look out for each other. mormons make pretty good friends with each other, partly, because it's always nice to have friends with the same standards. and, secondly, there aren't a ton of mormons. well, unless you live in Utah.
geeze, I would be going if it didnt cost so much =P. Tell me how everything goes, should be fun. lol, believe it or not, Texas actually has more mormons than you would think. Just this week they started to talk about having a split in our deacons qourum because we have 14 deacons, soon to be about 16. But yeah, im still Deacons qourum president until the split, then Im not too sure how everything'll work out. But yeah, mormons are the coolest, sometimes a little more kind than youde want them to be, but they're really neat people.
i use 2 live in texas til we moved here we had a really srong ward the kaldishac i lived in we called it the mormon one b/c we had 3 mormon families! it was really awesum but we hav a really stroung youth group in our ward
