I think the reason pictures are getting so many votes at the moment is because there are fewer posts than usual so they get into the voting booth more often. Mine have been getting 20+ votes too. Some of my pictures have started high and then dropped in score, but some have also moved up. The final result I would say is about right. There are some artists here that produce consistent exceptional work, and they do set a standard, but one to try to attain, not one to exclude others. Look at what they do and learn.

Yes, but a change for the better. Photoshop alone cannot make a poor photo into something wonderful. The reason the photos are better these days is that the digital cameras are better than what they were some time ago and people are learning to get the best out of them.. I too have been here for well over 3 years and have seen the change. I like that change.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?

Steven - Are you just mad at the world or on some type of rant? Your reply to Ramad makes absolutely no sence. I thought Ramad made well balanced and specific statements with a positive attitude driving them Your reply sounded like one of those arrogant politicians who has just learned to fart, and now think they have a jet-pack on their back. I am speaking from the aspect of the reader of your comments. You wrote to Ramad "a so so reply, point and shoots are better" what the heck is that? "I would rather not look and learn" Steve, I have been a student of Photography since 1968, I feel that I always need to look and learn. The bad habits? I know I have enough self control to reject those. If you do look or observe, you will most likely learn to do it right the first time, and not have a need to correct it with Photoshop. Most Artists use Photoshop to enhance their art, not correct it. You wrote "Ive been here a while an seen the now lack of creativity". I think creativity is alive and well here on Caedes. There is so much more of it, that great photos are plentiful, competition is stronger now than ever before, so that does make it harder to be original and or get noticed. I am kinda lost on your comments Steve. Are you concerned because there are other (new) people on Caedes? Are you concerned that we are giving an opportunity to undeserving beginners? Are you concerned that the change in the voting booth drops the score on your photos? You made a comment, no one is mad at you, be proud and say your peace, but so far your comments make no logical conclusion. Oh my Gosh! I just thought of this, maybe you have difficulty phrasing your thoughts, grumpy ole men have that problem. Please feel free to email me, I am comfortable with word construction, and I will be happy to assist you. Moose

Steve, I can understand your frustration and would simply suggest you ignor the votes and c-index, upload without ticking the box where you want votes in future...and would also add that you, like all of us, should try to improve while at the same time remain true to what you feel is creative...you are right in that we all see something different in the images and all appreciate different types of art...I too, in the 5 plus years I've been here have seen many changes...some good, some not so good...I will not expand on that as I do not wish to encourage one of 'those' discussions that all too often deteriorate into something ugly...I would also like to suggest an apology on the part of pastureyes as I don't think some of those comments were appropriate.
