I have tried to resize my photos in PSP and it seems no matter what I do the size comes out different than 1200x1024//1024x708//900x600//640x480.(pixels) The one that is 1200x1024 comes out to be 1503x1127. Does anyone know why this happens? I would like very much to post a new photo, but cant seem to get this right..please help> and thanx!!

Email me the original (or largest SHARP) version of the image and I'll try and figure out what's going on.

One-One was a racehorse and Two-Two was one too, and One-One won one race and Two-Two won one too!

This is what I do:
-Create a new 1600x1200 image in the GIMP and make the background black (or whatever color looks good).
-Resize the original picture to fit (if necessary)
-Paste the original as a new layer in the new image
-Flatten and save as a JPG

- Do you have "Constrain Proportions" turned on?
- Do you have Pixels selected as the measurement rather than mm/cm etc?

if you must resize the picture to paste it as a layer in a second image. Why couldnt you simply stop at resizing and resave the file? I've heard GIMP is similar to photoshop, you should be able to do this, just "Save as" and give it a new filename.
