Purple Flower 1.

or

Purple Flower 2.

I have been asked to take a picture of a purple flower to hang on my Girlfriend's bedroom wall, there is only space for one picture, which one is best and why?

/\ Second that notion.

Purple Flower 1, although nice ... to my eyes and in my humble opinion, is a bit too amorphous.

Without the benefit of having the bloom's central portion more in focus and from a better perspective ... might have been tempted to really go full blown abstract, by perhaps softening the entire image with a diffuse glow/filter. Or, blurring it some more. Something akin to that.

The colour palette in each is indeed quite eye-catching. Just maybe a tad too contrasty in the 1, as well.

I concur with the other's above.....one does not float my boat..it appears 'blown out' and does not have that 'wow' factor!
