Anonymous Contest System

I am with Stevenn120 and Zunazet about an anonymous system which they mentioned in the Contest Topic Poll, I am thinking of something like this...that the entry only can be watched/comment/vote in the contest gallery without any *user*name underneith it. You could compare it with the Vooting Booth system, that's anonymous too!

When the contest is closed and there is a winner, than the pictures of this contest can be put in the galleries of those who joined the contest.
I guess with having a system like this or something like this everyone has a chance to win and not only friends of friends of friends etc. etc.
By using such a system like this, the judges have to vote on a picture and not on a name (friend) behind the picture.

It's just a thought :o)

But methinks that's a lot of work for *Caedes and the moderators, but it's worth thinking about it.

In theory it is a great idea but in practise would it really work? Images of members with a distinctive style would still be recognised and if anyone wanted to they could quite easily inform their 'friends' . . . "my entry is the one with . . etc . .etc"

A small panel of moderator judges (perhaps 2 or three) plus the addition of the previous contest winner may be another option?

Expanding on that - if the previous winner was allowed to chose the subject for the next contest (which would be a nice extra reward))rather than by the current suggestion/voting system, they would be more inclined to vote on the actual subject rather than the popularity of the artist or the prettiness of the image.

Having said that, I have no real problem with the current system - apart from it being a contest, is is a great way of seeing how others interpret the subject, gaining ideas, and enjoying the pictures :)
