I bought one and have been using it since last year but it has to be the slowest digital camera EVER! My pictures always come out blurred because there's like a second between the time you hit the button and the time the shutter clicks. Any advice on reducing the blur on shots without a tripod?
There is a land of pure delight,
Beyond the Jordan's flood,
Where saints, apparelled all in white,
Fling back the critic's mud.
And as he legs it through the skies,
His pelt a sable hue,
He sorrows sore to recognize
The missiles that he threw.

Are you sure you are using it correctly? I know on my old digi cam you had to hold the button down halfway until the autofocus had done it's thing, then press it down fully to take the picture. Maybe it's a silly question but did you ever read the instruction manual?

Fine vapors escape whatever is doing the living.
The night is cold and delicate and full of angels
Pounding down on the living. The factories are all lit up,
The chime goes unheard.
We are together at last, though far apart.

I found that a lot with my S7000 as well and I discovered the main problem is the autofocus causing the delay. the best way round it is to use manual focus wherever possible which has no shutter delay to it at all.
