recently, i've had an abnoxious short conversation through the personal messages with someone who obviously does not have any interest in community, whether they stumble upon it, or stay for a while, but once they sign up for a username, is there any firewall against abuses or harrassment?
would an account verification be a bad idea for the good of the site?

Um... I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Someone was rude to you want you want them removed or blocked so they can't talk to you?

Hit the complain button - on their page. Also send a personal message to caedes if it's really bad.

NEVER EVER respond to a vexatious PM. Copy the text and advise caedes immediately - or a mod.
Same in real life!
(only substitute the relevant authority. Though godly, I'm sure even caedes has his limits!)
Your "reply" is what these people use to validate their behaviour....

well, it wasn't so much that i was bothered by the subject of the message itself, but rather by the thought of it, the user had only been on caedes for 15 minutes, no information provided in their profile..

bah.. maybe i'm just overreacting
