I have a whole bunch of neat costa rica pics that i have been posting here for a while. when i would resise the pictures so they would work, i opened the pic in windows art or whatever, then i went to attributes and changed it to 1600x1200. But when i do this it cuts off the rest of the picture. Anyone know how to resise a picture without it cutting most of your picture out.

thank you

I think the program that you're using is actually cropping the image. What you want to do is called a 'resample'. I'm not sure if your program can do that, however any self-respecting graphics editor should be able to. Many people here use photoshop, however for you I'd suggest trying Paint Shop Pro or the Gimp.

You are talking about Paint, right? It is a very limited program, but it is possible to shrink pics by going to "Stretch/Skew" in the "Image" menu. It would help if you said what size the original was, but if it was, say, 3200 x 2400, you would enter 50% in both feilds. There would be easier ways though, for example you could download powertoys... more info in the previous post "PICTURE size", which is on page 4 of the discussion board...
