VB Images question

Regarding the drop down menu on the VB.
I am confused by it - yesterday I had 9 images listed on it, dating back 2 weeks - today it is reduced to 4.
I dont know why (??)
Does this mean the other 5 are now removed from the voting pool ?

It seems that "Your images currently receiving votes" would suggest those removed are no longer receiving votes.
Is is necessary to add images back to the list if we want them to continue being voted on?
The removed ones have only 4 or 5 five votes so they were not removed because they had been given a C-Index score.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . You can put the images back in the voting booth. If they didn't get enough votes the first time, it is probably because you didn't vote enough while those images were in the booth.

I think I have voted every day - can you give some indication of how many votes are expected please ?

The only time I did not vote was when the VB was not functioning, but the images I had removed were uploaded after its return and for each image uploaded I have voted at least the previously required 10 votes and on days I have not uploaded I have also voted.

What happens if we put an image in the VB after voting that day, and then are absent for a period of time - is the image removed after a certain time, or after a specified time with no votes given in return ?

It would be useful to know how many votes are required per image or per day or whatever it is in order to keep the images in the booth at least long enough to generate a C-Index rating.

Taking into account that images usually gain a higher c-index number at the beginning which often diminshes as more votes are added it seems that removing an image from the booth at an early stage would be advantageous to the score but not indicative of the true value (??)

Removing an image from the VB changes its status from having an index to 'not' having an index.
I didn't realize that the more I voted, the more votes my images received. Maybe that explains the fact that some of my images have over 50 votes and others' images have none or very few even though they were uploaded within the same time frame.
