It can be hard to think of names for pictures. I could call mine things like 'Flying Spheres' or 'Purple Glass Orb Set in Silver', but it doesn't seem terribly imaginative...

They are a little TOO random. What I would like is a random generator that will take a particular word (such as 'Crimson' or 'Jewel') and create a phrase that includes that word. I tried the Google/Bing search box (type in a word and wait for other people's search terms to pop up!) but the results are too predictable.

Does anyone know of other word/phrase/title generators?

PS: I found this: Title Generator. So far it hasn't helped; I might as well construct the entire title myself. :-)

And here is one called The Abstract Art Title Generator. I clicked on it, and it suggested 'Old Man Desecrates a Suitcase'. Hmm. Not got a wallpaper for that yet...

It does let you enter a word you want to be part of the title, but I imagine the words it picks to go with it are still completely random.

With the Abstract Art Title Generator I usually take 1 or 2 words from a couple different pictures ans then play around with them until I come up with a title. Sometimes I take those titles & open the Random Title Generaqtor, which I like better anyway...& do the same thing. I'll add one or 2 of those & mix them with a couple new ones & play some more.

Ha, that's interesting... hadn't thought of band names. As for games, we could start a challenge to create new wallpapers to go with titles found in the random title generator.... 'The Snow of the Night' sounds pretty, or 'Lonely Darkness'. Not sure about 'Planet in the Captive'... a surreal picture, maybe. I suppose that's not really a word game!

I was wondering how some of these generators are made... are they truly random, or do they offer complete titles that someone else has already dreamed up and put in there? I find the latter thought off-putting, and would go with Lauren's method of mixing and matching to get my own title.

Actually I like "Lonely Darkness" as a title. ;o)
