Just kidding... We had a corruption of the user's database that caused the "am I banned" field to be set for everyone. This didn't immediately affect everyone at once because of caching in the system. This is why it took me a while to notice myself. I was able to fix it by deleting and reloading the user's database from a recent backup. No data was lost in the process unless you created an account in the last day (very few accounts). Sorry for freaking everyone out!

Was strange, since ... initially ... some pages worked and others didn't. Almost like the server was playing catchup on the corruption.

Then.. didn't matter which page.

Annnnd.. Google's recent cached page of the site showed the 'banned account' message.


I even tried pinging the site to no avail.

Ahem. You DID notice that April Fool's Day is in uh... April, right?

I think it was just a test to see if we were paying attention. Well I think we are now...
