Who would vet them? Unless Geri himself gets more involved (which seems unlikely), it would have to be the moderators again. And then we would have a host of threads cropping up about poll suggestions getting rejected ...
I'd rather have the threads than be unable to remove an item like the one that was posted. The consuls have the capability of dealing with threads that get out of hand.
Hannah, Surely it has to be agreed that some poll suggestions would have been better not to have been posted? I would rather put up with a few possible complaints than have the site subjected to suggestions that are harmful to the site and offensive to those they target. A suggestion poll is no place for that. I am all for freedom of speech - but annonymously targeting a member, for what ever reason is not on.
All I was asking was if there was a possibilty of having them monitored before they appear. Cat's choice of someone having the ability to remove them after they are posted would also work.
This forum is supposed to be for suggestions for improving the site - or preventing it from deteriorating and that is all I was doing, not starting another discussion about who, why, or how. It does not really take a superior brain to decide what is offensive and inappropriate and the general consensus of members including mods in the current heated situation appears to be against such defamatory words.
I placed it in this forum as I have been told that this is where *caedes is most likely to see it, and I have usually found that to be the case in the past. Lets not start another useless argument about the pros and cons of it.

I certainly agree that none of the suggestions after "Reintroduce voting" should be there. I just don't see how the moderating could be done without creating even more conflict.
"Poll: What feature or change would you most like for caedes.net?"
Would it be possible to have suggestions vetted before they are allowed to be posted in the Poll, just as images are ?
