Is there any chance this could be implemented for caedes.net??

Pinterest already has a very poor reputation for copyright violations. They have introduced a method for website owners to disable 'pinning' pirated material to Pinterest website with a metatag. Sites just need to add a small piece of code to the head of web pages to prevent images from being pinned directly to Pinterest.

Story and code is HERE

All Pinterest members need to do is click an icon they have installed to 'pin' any image from the internet.
Anything pinned there can be modified or sold by the site - stated in their User Agreement.

The link does not work.

Pinterest seems interesting, if you excuse the pun. Apparently, you do not post content on their site, only links to the original content which, from discussions I have read, appears to be allowed under fair use. So, if someone on Pinterest sees a picture on caedes they like, they can pin it, and anyone looking at it would get directed back here. That seems to be quite positive, as far as Caedes is concerned.

The caveat, is that I have not delved in very deeply to confirm this, or joined.

Yes, link is bad sorry - here is the full address. It is interesting reading with more links on the page.

From what I can see when looking at the Pinterest site - all I see is images I can click on and thus save.

This is copied from their Terms of Use

"How Pinterest Works

After you have created an Account (defined below) to become a Member of Pinterest, you may use the Services to create, view and follow visual collections. In order to create a visual collection, you may (i) upload images from your computer by selecting the "Add a Pin" section of the Site, (ii) use the Application to take and upload images, or (iii) install and use our "Pin It" browser toolbar to upload images, by following the instructions provided on the "About" section of the Site. .. . . ."

I understood that to mean the images were actually uploaded, not linked to . I have had a brief look in the Photography section of Pinterest and nowhere did I see any links to any other site.
They must have concerns about copyright to have supplied the code to prevent violations dont you think?

This bit that bothers me is this, am I misunderstanding it? It seems to say that they own all content. So if I steal an image from here, upload it there from my computer - I have violated copyright but I have already agreed to them taking ownership of anything I upload. All Site Content.

"Ownership
The Site, Application, Services and Site Content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of the United States and foreign countries. Except as expressly provided in these Terms, Cold Brew Labs and its licensors exclusively own all right, title and interest in and to the Site, Application, Services and Site Content, including all associated intellectual property rights. You will not remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark, service mark or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Site, Application, Services or Site Content."

I am not a member there, I have nothing against it, and have a couple of friends raving about its wonders, but am interested in how it works and if someone can come along here and by the click of a mouse can upload/pin anything they chose then I would like to see mechanism in place to avoid that.

I have gone back and looked again, and yes images (not all) Do have
"Pinned via pinmarklet from (Clickable name of site)"
A large number of the links are "Lh3.googleusercontent" which I can not understand bcause they just link back to their own site.

I can see how addictive it could become . ... .
