I was thinking about the recent problems with abuse of the voting system and the member who was banned from the site for such activity and I realized that it would be possible to correct the image c-indexes that he messed up. I went through the images that he voted on and assumed either that he voted all zero or all tens. I then calculated what the vote score would be without these votes and updated the score if it was a reasonable assumption. Before updating the images I carfully went though the corrected values to make sure that I was correcting them in the right direction (up or down). I think that it worked out pretty well.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
Right on... Now my worst rated is only 50 and not below 30! ^_^ (And it is not the same images at all even.) :P Thanks again, this made my day. I was starting to think earlier I had to take down all my worst rated and resubmit them for a fair trial but that usually don't go so well. (Maybe if I wait a year or so?) It's sometimes hard enough to get enough votes in the first round. ^_^
