Tutorial: Making Dramatic B&W Photos in Irfaview

I would have uploaded this here, but completely forgot about the dimension restrictions for Caedes and really did not want to reformat the image after working on it for over 2 hours.

This tutorial (as the thread title implies) is about making dramatic B&W images through the editing program IrfanView

This process has been developed after using IV for over 8 years, and is what I use for almost every photo I edit. I realize that it may not be for everyone, but I hope that some can benefit from my experience. Here is a link to my DeviantArt submission: Tutorial

And I would like to thank Akeraios for allowing me to use her photo.

Excellent tutorial, thankyou.
Also an excellent reminder of just how good IrfanView is.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Thanks you two :)

I also made a tutorial of how NOT to make B&W photos, if anyone's interested.

/\ Aha!

I always said.. there is no cake, if there is no icing.

One does not exist without the other (well.. in my world, anyways).

On a more serious note, some times seeing the 'what not to do' can illuminate a subject more so.

Thanks again, Bethany. Appreciate your time. :o)
