lately i have been having a problem with the way my images are shown on the site, they are displayed too large and the image is not fully shown, is there a way for me to correct this after the image has been uploaded?

No, the recommendation listed when you first join this site is to upload them as large as you can, as PNGs, as long as either dimension is under 3200, and the site will generate all the smaller versions for you. It's always disappointing to come across a beautiful image only to find it tops out at around 500 and is pixelated when you try to use it for the intended purpose at this site; as a wallpaper.
