Let's see how this goes. I have uploaded an image which is kind of like a cryptic clue; use the elements of the image to form a word, saying, movie title, etc... First one is very easy and I don't expect it to take long for someone to guess... HOWEVER remember that if you get it right you are required to create and upload the next one within a reasonable period of time (say two days max.) so do not make a guess unless you are prepared to do this!
Have fun... link to image will appear below after I have finished uploading it.

I am thinking.. one a week?
Once 'you' move away from photography.. two days might be too short for someone to come up with a concept.. and then, execute/render the corresponding image?
And hopefully, the picture puzzles themselves will get more challenging. Justifying the one week time frame I am suggesting.
... ...
Also, to prevent any burnout on this idea from too short a time frame.
Well I did my first one in about five minutes from coming up with the idea for the game... but then it is pretty simple.
My thought was that it would be like the cryptic crossword game... generally the reason it (and all the others) stall is because no one posts a new one after the old one is solved. Hence the impetus on getting a new one up ASAP.
The guessing could take weeks in some cases, I think... anyway we'll see how it goes.
PS "cake in the sky" is incorrect. *throws cake in face*

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
A few more thoughts: I put my image in the "caedes" gallery, will make them easier for people to find; also, if you are composing an image using third party images, don't forget to give due credit etc...

Richie, of course, was correct "Half a loaf is better than no bread" which I guess means we should be grateful for small mercies :) Not sure if solution should be posted here or in the other thread so will do both.

I had a thought this morning that maybe we should PM the author instead of posting answers on the image? That way no one else will spoil the answer for others and we can have a 'second place' if the winner doesn't post a new puzzle.
Well, that was a surprize, because I was not really giving a guess. Richie pm'd me to say "Barking Up The Wrong Tree" is correct :) :) So - for my next trick . . . this is all my frozen brain could come up with tonight - and I am sure it will be guessed very quickly. Here it is
I think Samatar's suggestion above is a good idea - so I am sitting here waiting for a flurry of pm's lol

The person winning would still be the one that guessed Correctly first tho. I have had no pm's with answer. I thought my last one would be easy but maybe I was 'dreaming'. For an added clue it is a song title. 😄

I am sorry I did not post my guess in time. Was hoping someone else would! I am working on another puzzle pic. I will post it if no one else takes up the challenge. Anyone....... Please ? Anne-Marie - yours was a brain teaser- good entry!

Put up a puzzle pic Sam and wait for the guessers. I would guess you may have to canvas a bit to generate interest. Only members still subscribed to this thread will be aware. You could perhaps explain again how it works

/\ This is from on-site here.. and the link has been updated/edited ("The best free photo editor 2017") some with respect to the free software out there and their considered rankings.
If you have an iPad or something, some apps may do the trick. The one everybody's talking about is Procreate. I've got it, and like it... you can create your own brushes, use layers etc. ArtStudio is another favourite of mine. Inspire Pro. ArtRage, Pixelmator. Brushes Redux... (the original Brushes failed and was presumably removed from the App Store by Apple).
All I see on my pc is 4 little squares. I can see the little graphics on my ipad though but have not been able to work it out yet. I am a little 'slow"

I worried about what others might be seeing. I know when I used these emojis in an Apple Mail email to a friend who uses a PC, they didn't work. I thought "what's the point of emoticons other people can't see?" and gave up.
It links to an even more useful site, the Emojipedia.
The snail 🐌is one I've been using a lot here. It looks quite different on different platforms. To me it looks like the one by Apple here.
Now, the fact that some snails are facing in different directions is irritating, as it makes less sense if you have it pointing away from a second emoji when you thought it was pointing towards it.
For instance: 🐌🗻
Mount Fuji is the one I used on another thread to denote (in my mind) a 'heap of cred'.

You could see if you can copy and paste any from the Emojipedia. It lets me do it, but always offers me Apple emojis, so perhaps it 'knows' what I can use.

I see first a spiky fish then a minus sign - then a smooth blue fish which I interpreted as a spiky (or scaly fish) then with the minus sign thought the smooth blue fish meant they had been removed ( the scales I mean) I never saw scales as in weighing lol just a scaleless fish
