I just wanted to say here that in recent months I have noticed quite a positive change in the overall quality and variety of imagery we're seeing, and in the very enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere...some months back the number of posts were declining and some of the images not always up to our best standards but I do believe we are back on track and it is really a pleasure to log in everyday...not a day goes by when I don't ooh or aah over one image or another and there's always a smile or chuckle to be had...special kudos go out to SAM and her organization, LynEve for her ever faithful handling of the b/w challenge, Owd Bob for his introduction of Manic Monday and Wacky Wednesday, Phil (gonedigital) for his introduction of Spike to our family of caedesians, and all the other 'characters' on the site for their wit and off the wall comments and insights...so BRAVO one and all...keep up the great work.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Well said Pat!....Not only a 'Pals' community...but one we should all be proud of to keep it going strong!...
lets hope the 'newcomers' to Caedes can carry on the tradition!... also, it is the way to keep in touch with 'all' our friends that cannot meet, but would love to!
Spike will be pleased at you mentioning him Pat, I do hope his head doesn't swell to much!
I've been away from the site for quite a while, & there are many good artists no longer here who I miss, but I'm sure your right in saying that the site's recovering from a low point. Manic Monday, Wacky Wednesday, & the b/w challenge are all good ideas for promoting growth. Let's hope that things continue on an upward curve. (o:
I know I just said this not long ago but I can't help myself...I just have to say it again...we are really getting some damn fine imagery lately...great work one and all!!!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Back again to reiterate a comment I recently made on one of casechaser's images..."I have noticed recently that some people on this site seem to specialize in certain aspects of photography"...
For example, casechaser himself has the midas touch when it comes to the lighting in some of his images...Cornelius aka SEA is my man when it comes to compositional expertise in his shots...and you can always count on Bob (::Dunstikin) for a good laugh...not saying all your images are laughable now Bob...you know what I mean...::Lyneve lives in a beautiful country and some of her water and beach shots are to die for...Bob (rahto) does some fabulous macros of butterflies and has a wonderful variety of squirrel images...EJ has just the right touch when it comes to HDR work...well, that's just to name a few of many I especially like...anyone else care to bring to our attention a certain artist or artists whose work they particularly admire?.

Very well said Pat. After being away for a year due to other commitments & had very little spare time to edit any images ... it is good to be back, but I know in the future I will have limited participation again.
I've noticed the exceptional quality of all the images I've viewed thus far. The uploads may be fewer than in the past, but I love the relaxed atomosphere. We are all here to help one another, give support to one another when going through difficult times, & make each other laugh. It's a fine community of very talented individuals & I'm glad to be part of it.
