Tim just happened to be online when I saw his 'name up in lights' (users online). And I recalled his username and his work behind the lens.. and had the thought to go and revisit his galleries once more.
Was more than pleasantly visually rewarded. :o)

And by all means, time and opportunity permitting ... take the tours of the mentioned artists' galleries for some fresh looks, perspectives.. inspiration ... you know ... the good good stuff.
Reflections in Oil: I always remember it, therefore it's one of the classics for me. Has a pleasant, calm colour scheme and layout, making me more cheerful! Embryo: fun and amusing but also a little spooky -- nice Halloween addition. :-) Iced: the colour combination and iciness of this is perfect for me. Great way to brighten up a desktop.
The image mods have done a great job. I've been all the way through some members' galleries, but the best things are in the mains already!
Though there are plenty of wallpapers that look good on my tablet (even when zoomed in), they look a lot less good on my desktop computer. You'll find something is over-sharpened or there's a pale strip down one edge or the whole thing is softer or grainier than you thought!
I didn't know if I could call the late jswgpb aka 'Lion of Oz' (John) a 'hidden' treasure! He's a treasure, but not hidden. He was such a prolific poster though, that some of his images must be less well-known than others.
Of his images not in the main galleries, these five are my favourites:
I was checking out Garrett's; aka garrettparkinson current series of shots taken of elephant seals and noticed a reply he had received from a comment placed on ksshutterbug's hummingbird photo.. this:
"Garrett,
Sorry it has taken me a while to respond to your question. I don't get a chance to log on very often with 15 month old twins.
To answer your question on my "Female Rubythroat and Zinnias" - Stopping the wing motion is all done with flash and can be done with the garden variety Vivitar 283 flashes (you'll need a minimum of two, but more is always better) these are available on Ebay for about $50 and an additional $20 for the Varipower module available from B&H photo (or if you are mechanically inclined you can use a 100-kW variable resistor available at Radio Shack) This particular photo was taken with 1 Canon 550EX, 1 Canon 430EX and 2 Vivitar 283's all dialed back to 1/32nd power, a Canon 20D and Canon's 100-400mm IS lens at 200mm. The setup for the birds is about 15 feet from the camera and the flashes are about 18-20 inches from the food source. ISO 200, f11 @ 1/250th of a second. The most important thing is not having ANY other direct light sources or you will get "ghosting" on the fast moving wings from the residual light sources. I have hundreds of hummer pics, so you'll be seeing more in the future (as time permits).

Now that is some 'hidden treasure', both; visually ... and that of some great tips and advice shared.
Wish to thank those that have participated in this discussion, thus far.. Connie, Sandra and Ron.
As a result.. we now have some new additions in the Main Galleries and were overlooked initially.
Was a lil' hesitant in posting what is to follow, then.. thought; 'we are in this together.. why not?' (<-- Dumbed down version, courtesy of the ultimate Dumbo.. moi.)
So.. if 'you' (speaking generally here) see an image that you feel has been left in the shadows and deserves to be brought out into the light of the Main Galleries.. feel free to suggest in this discussion/thread.
'Cause..
In rereading the comments associated with those that have been put forth for consideration, and to date.. getting two birds with one stone, simply put.
Some good good 'constructive criticism' in a sense.. and.. more importantly, acknowledging the talent in and amongst the membership.
So..
See or have an image in mind? Point to it, and your reasons why and due consideration will be given.
No promises.. though, know that you have done a good good thing, regardless, insofar as drawing some attention to an artist and their respective galleries at the bare.. bare, minimum.

"I would just like to make note of one of our members. "Pistos" aka Jeff has been a member since February 2006. Recently, Jeff has been posting a pioneer sculpture series that is intriguing, beautiful, and photographed expertly. If there were a way to have a contest for best series, this would definitely be my all time favorite. For anyone reading this who has missed these photos, do Yourself a favor and go to his homepage and view his gallery (which, I might add contains some very impressive work.) Thank You Jeff and thank You Caedes (and a thank You to a very talented sculptor) for sharing this wonderful bit of history in so wonderful a manner. .....susanlynn"
Here's a link to Jeff's galleries (and sculpture photos/images amongst others):
Feel free to post those 'hidden gems' (not in the Main Galleries) that you might find yourself, in and amongst the membership galleries.
