interesting but also a little misleading as its not actually a digital camera - just a large format film camera scanned in on a high res film scanner.....

Yeah, once I realized that I was a bit less impressed as well. It does do a good job of showing the amazing resolution of their camera though.

The link you discovered for us is most interesting. I went there with the expectation of reading about digital technology, but I don’t think it’s misleading because the first paragraph mentions large format photography and digital scanners. They demonstrate what can be achieved when budget and dedication are unlimited.

When the white man discovered this country, Indians were running it. No taxes no debt, women did all the work. White man thought he could improve on a system like this.

This is basicaly the same concept I had last year of adapting a high rez scaner to a belows and a 28 to 80 wide angle zome lens with a large apature diafram.

did that work out for you? cuz i think a large format scanner would be a very neat way of taking pictures, the only thing i'd be concerned about is (like our 8+ year old scanner) that it takes a very long time to make an exposure, but it wouldnt be blurred like a long exposure, so if grass were blowing in the wind or something it could look very chooppy.

did you actually go through with it??? how did it work if you did?
