I just purchased a new digital camera, the Konica Minolta Z10. I am new in photography but enjoy it very much. I was wondering if this camera was a good buy.

I am also considering to buy this camera. After my Canon A60 died recently (though it is still at repair service... dunno if they'll manage to fix it or not) I wanted to try out something diferent now... a camera with more zoom. Z10 has 8 x zoom and it is fairly cheap comparing to other similar cameras. Looks like a good deal to me.

I would still love to see some nature shots (not the sample shots they gave on those review pages) so if there is anyone here at ceadec who has a galery with Z10 images, I would really appreciate the link! :)

Well... the cost of the repair for my Canon would turn up to be as much as a second-hand one is worth (fully functional), so I decided not to invest so much money in a repair, but to buy a new one, since I really couldn't live without a camera.. not even for few days! LOL

So, I went today and bought this baby! :D I took a lot of pix already, testing it up, but I still don't have any worthy pic to upload here and share with ya (it was a rainy day, blah).. hopefully I'll have some pic soon. :D

All in all, I am quite pleased with this camera. There are a lot of features this camera has that I haven't encountered before, so I think I gotta study the manual carefully. LOL One diference that I noticed right away, comparing with previous camera (Canon A60) is that the flash is not so powerful, which is in some cases a good thing (when the object is close) and in some cases bad thing, cause there is some noise in the background of the image... but not too much... or maybe I'm nitpicking? LOL! ...and maybe I still haven't learn how to use all the options to eliminate that noise? Dunno... will see. However daylight images are amazingly sharp with rich vivid colors... I love it! I love the zoom as well. Now that I've tried this 8 x zoom I could never sattle for anything less.... just more!
