Laugh? I nearly died. At last after all these years we have them fully by the scrote and they have no one else to blame for it but their own President. Archaic, egomaniacal & petulant fool that he is.

What MADE MY DAY utterly was when the announcement was made it started raining on them, how funny was that? Gutted they were not hosting the games and then it pours on them, classic.

I bet Bliar is smirking his smug face off up at Gleneagles later and Chirac is giving out the evil looks. Then the chefs will probably feed Chirac some Haggis and battered deep fried Mars Bars, show him how great the food really is. *super smirk*

While it is a shame London is the venue, other cities being more deserving and better set for the games, it's still a great day as a whole generation of kids are now set to be given a chance to get into a world class where sport is concerned, the govt has no choice now but to invest in our kids and their sporting futures.

they had no choice really - the IOC told Britain after its last failed bid that it would not consider another bid from them unless it focused on London.

To be fair to Bliar (and lets make it quite cear I hate his guts generally) he at least managed to remain diplomatic and austere in the run up to the vote - absolutely refusing to take chiracs bait in his childish war of words. shame he cant do the same in regular politics really.

I thing that political gobshitery by Chirac cost them dearly, serves him right.

As Channel 4 said earlier tonight; he will be eating humble pie followed by sour grapes with Queenie poos. :)
