Just a quick note to anyone who has left comments on my images/sent PM's etc to me. Currently I am renovating a house which I have purchased so am very limited on time spent on the 'net, plus I have no home computer at the mo' and hence only have access about 1-2 times a week. Please be aware that although I may not have responded I do read and appreciate all your feedback. If you would like to see what I am up to you can have a stickybeak here.
Sam - I haven't actually checked out any of your latest work, (tsk tsk to me) but being the inveterate stickbeak that I am I loved checking out your reno-delight... but I could get none of the other pictures on the next pages to show. Is that a prob at my end?????

Just checked back and have had a good sticky beak. We renovated 4 years ago, and I miss the fun of planning. I like the fresh white paintwork and the smart kitchen. The plan for the french doors in the master bedroom sounds really great. Good luck with it all. (Is it for re-sale or for living in?)

It was a nice tree, but planted in the wrong spot (ie right next to the fence (which it was uprooting) the council footpath (which it was destroying) and the powerlines (which it was endagering). Plus it was making the yard look smaller, nothing was growing underneath, and the rotting fruit which it dropped was attracting rats and roaches. My neighbor appreciated it being removed too as the front half of her house was constantly in shadow... Don't worry, I am planning to replace it with much more appropriate native plants.
Lol, I didn't expect an answer! Nice to hear that you are going to plant something in its place . The renos are looking good...I like the wood floors. Keep those fingers out of hammers way:)
Hey good work there! I had a stickbeak. I love the difference the tree makes when gone, much better with a managable native garden. Garden looks bigger too! I think you made a good choice - the house looks basically sound, as well from what I can tell - the timber floors look in excellent condition, amazing what the kitchen looks like! I'm sure it will all pay off! Well done!
Good thing you had a camera handy so we could see what you are up to :))
Love re-doing a house. Anxiously awaiting more updates Sam. Work safely. Thanks

Thanks Myth, mimi, CH. I've added a few updated photos today if anyones interested; mainly note the curtains & blinds and some new stuff in the kitchen. Most of the other stuff (furniture) will be changed by the time I'm done.

A new home..how exciting. It can also be stressful as supplies are sometimes not available, workers dont show up and ther costs get out of hand. But when it is done, you will love it. Its just another way you are showing your creativity!!
*crys... all those yummy mangos.. gone... kidding.. I know what its like I had one that broke the sewerage pipes... they attract a lot of bats too, couldnt sleep some nights from the noise... The kitchen is looking really good... cant wait to see what the rest is going to look like.. its a big job renovating... so the best of luck with it.. =D
I know ! Love the built in oven & microwave in the kitchen...wish I had one looking so spiffy ! Lotsa luck Sam, can't wait to see the finished product !
Things are going pretty well thanks Myth. Should be starting on the bathroom any day now. Hopefully I will be uploading some updated photos in the next few weeks. I'll keep you all posted.
