I read somewhere on one of the discussions, someone said that it would be a great idea if you could subscribe to someone that you really like, every time that person uploaded an image, you would be notified just like a regular subscription or PM.

I hope this idea goes through and becomes permenant, it'd be great to subscribe to someone so you know when they have uploaded a new piece, as for when you get the subscription, it would say "NAME" uploaded "NAME OF WORK"! Just my thought.

That would be cool. You can always add itheir gallery to your favorites I guess. =0)

It would, instead of always checking, you'll get a notification telling you that he/she uploaded something new.

it has been discussed on the dev site forum as well with this general conclusion:

"although this feature would undoubtedly be convenient, it might compete with the New Images Gallery. If everyone began to use this feature, the gallery would receive little attention - and any images uploaded by a new artist would go unnoticed by the general Caedes public... "

Not really, I don't think members of the site will ignore/forget about the new images gallery because of this...or would they?

It was just a factor to consider. I believe that it would to some extent further promote the formation of cliques within the community and would decrease the ammount of attention that new uploaders get (which is already a problem). So I think that something would need to be done to counter this effect (like automatically making sure that new members get plenty of comments on their images).

I've seen many images from new members with comments from members that have been here for a while and have great images themselves and are trying to give advice to the newcomers, I don't think that, that would happen but maybe I'm wrong.

I do seem to lean towards some peoples art more than others but I really like the wat teh new gallerys random images. I have comer accross some that I might otherwise have overlooked. I have to try to remember to look at more genres now. :-)

Caedes, have you ever thought about doing like trial runs for different ideas, this doesn't have to be one, like some of your ideas and you try it for a week, if you don't like the changes on the site and the members, you take it off.

You could always bookmark the artists personal gallery and sort by date. That way you could quickly check if there were any new images in their gallery whenever you wanted to.

I do set my order by date and I just look up there name on the wallpaper search but thanks anyways.
