Ok so I have a Nikon D70s and it is an amazing camera and all but as anyone who has seen it knows you would need a damn big pocket to fit it into, and thats where my problem comes in i generally know when im going to be taking pictures and when not but the odd time ill go out and come across the international female mud wresteling compatition (yeah its late and im rambeling) and really wished i had a camera. so i am looking into this little thing... i have a camera on my phone but they just suck so i dont consider it a camera

has anyone out there done the same thing as im thinking and did you really find it useful at all? ive looked into the reviews and it scored fairly well and seems to be a way better deal then that small Sony that looks like i would snap somehow

so yea please discuss, corrupt my mind and bank account

here is the link for the camera

i originally had a canon digital elph, but i have recently bought a d70 and i find it hard to even touch my old one. I find the pictures it creates are no where near as good, so its hard to be happy with anything i get. But of course to each his own, so you may want it more.

All I can say is that olympus makes a darn good camera. I had an e20 and i loved it a buddy has a small olympus and he loves it.
Have you looked into the new pentex cameras they are very small and even come with a realy good zoom, I also understand they are really reliable. . If I where you I'd go to dpreview.com and take a look around and then decide.

or you could save yourself a (little) bit of money and just get a trendy shoulder sling for the Nikon from Loewe of from Crumpler if you want to be completely whacky :-)

I'd have to agree with Phil, just get a small bag/case/sling for what you've got. I don't think that you will be pleased with the image quality, going from a digital SLR to a point-and-shoot.

The shoulder sling idea is a good one but i have already done that and it did help but i still cant bring my self to bring my nikon to school everyday and such there is just to much of a risk

I picked up a little no name 8 MGP camera on Ebay for about $132.00. It has a small zoom and takes ok pictures. Good enough for general use. It has a good flash. The cool thing about itis it.s not much bigger the a credit card.

I would just get something compact second hand. I have a Canon Ixus that is about 4 or 5 years old now and it takes snapshots just as well as any new fangled expensive thing. You could probably pick one up for next to nothing nowadays.
