Ok, I've been gone for about more than two months and many things have changed, can anyone fill me in with whats going on?

Stop trying to figure out who's talented and who's not, and just take a shot at it, okay? Do some art. Tell anybody who asks that I said it was all right.

LOL! Hi, Andrew...Glad to see you back... I missed you! Keith has it about right. LOL! The decision was made to make the C-index invisible to members (but not to moderators) for now because people were becoming very focused on it and it was becoming a distraction for some. Other than that, not all that much has changed. Again, good to see you again. Wen

What is the c-index?
The c-index is a number between zero and 100 that aims to give a rough idea of the quality of an image. It is calculated by a complex formula involving the rating of the image (from voting), the number of views, downloads, and the number of members who have added the image to their favorites list.
Why is the c-index for my image lower than I think it should be?
The c-index is updated once every 24 hours. You'll notice that the c-index isn't displayed for an image untill the image has recieve 5 votes. If the image gets five votes before the c-index has updated, then the c-index will probably have an unrealistic value {like zero) untill the c-index is calculated for the first time.
The revised FAQ will say: ..
