Hello,

i have uploaded a few images but people would like a higher resolution. What is the best size to upload at and roughly what file size should it be?

Many thanks.

the highest you can with the limmet of 1600-1200 it will show up below our pic as a choice of res. Make ofcourse shore that your pic still looks good in that res (oherwise put them in a frame)

Remember, though, that there is no point blowing up the image because it just becomes pixelated. What people what to see is a photograph in a higher resolution, if you have it; if not, then just try to remember to get a larger image next time.

Currently, camera's take photo's of rather largish size, depending on the quality you select, roughly in the 3000x2000 resolution area for Landscapes. Resize or Crop that down to 1600x1200 (which is the largest size the Caedes.net supports) with Adobe Photoshop or similar photo editing software. Then all you have to do is upload it since Caedes auto-sizes your photo to fit the smaller resolutions (800x600, 1024x768, 1154x864, and 1280x1024). Doing that ensures you that everyone with those desktop resolutions will see and most likely download your photo. With todays PC technology in it's prime, larger displays are cheaper and more common so limiting yourself to smaller resolutions is not a good idea.
