Midnight snacks.

Well then lets paint the story so far. You have been out partying (Drinking if app) and your trying not to wake anybody up by going downstairs to fix yourself a midnight snack. You find the bread "of any conortation", to make a sandwich. Considering the fridge is fully packed and the condiments full aswell what would your ultimate sandwich consist of? What would you name this magnificant expression of a snack?

Mine would be called Derek Doorstop.

This sandwich would be firstly made of doorstop wedges of fresh white bread (thick cut @ least 0.5 inches thick).

The filling would be buttered with lightly salted butter. It would consist of slow roast, roast beef (left overs). Fried challotes and horseraddish sauce. Ssssllluuurrrppppppp. A truely mighty buttie.

I like the roast beef, but I would start with two thick slices of Kings Sweet Hawaiian bread taosted, then a even spread of a good Ruben sauce on each slice, stack the roast beef nice and deep, with grilled onions, avocado, and Swiss cheese.

The name of the sandwich would be mmmmmmhaaagrumbleyum!

Don't forget the side of pickles!

* 2 slices Texas Toast (thick sliced) bread
* 1/8 stick butter melted
* freshly grated parmasan cheese or
* 1 slice american cheese or
* 1 slice provolone cheese or
* 1 slice cheddar cheese or
* 1 slice mozzerella cheese or
* any combination of above
* and, if desired, two strips of smoked, crispy slab bacon

1. Melt butter. For taste, add a dollop of balsamic vinager. Brush on one side of each slice of bread and dip into cheese until generously covered.
2. Preheat large skillet on medium and add 1 tablespoon butter to coat pan.
3. Put bread slices, cheese side down, in preheated pan. Place a pre- heated second skillet on top for weight. Cook until golden brown and place sandwich slices together with bacon. Cook appoximately 30-45 seconds more for cheeses to melt together. Serve immediately.
4. Contact cardiologist.

I really dont like bread but if I have to have it, I would scoop out some french bread and stuff it with brie with strawberries and mango and put it under the broiler for a few seconds and have that. The texas toast sounds good and probably is about as healthy as this.

Lunch time wow.

1 Large tiger / onion vienna (A long submarine type of roll with fried onion in and cheese grated on top of dough before baking) , A tin on dolphin friendly tuna mixed with some low fat mayo and crushed black pepper and fresh tarragon (pestle & mortar). Add a light dash of Virgin olive oil instead of butter and put the filling in. To finish squeeze fresh lime juice on top to supplament the fact of not using full fat mayo.

Mush them up and add a great "pepper spread"...they are so great..then add a bit of FRESH caught crab....salt and pepper lighty...a few slices of WallaWalla Onions...and of course nice non salted butter...make sure the bread is toasted...YUMM..but I have a secondary preference too...I LOVE the large rounds of Rye Krisp, made in Sweden, you slather half of a round with sweet butter and then put a layer of thin krispy bacon pieces on it, then add thin slices of fresh organic tomatoes, then add salt and pepper..oh my gosh..and that with a great ale..is fantastic, and I can sleep like a baby!!!

Dr Peppers Kim are the fun drink of choice without the outlandish over use of spirits.

1 Get a tall empty glass.
2 Have a shot of Amareto in a shot glass waiting.
3 In the tall glas poor half a bottle of Budweiser into it and let it settle.
4 Have the shot glass full oy Amareto waiting and tilt the tall glass towards you.
5 Drop the shot in (DEPTH CHARGE).
6 With only half a glass of bud in let the shot glass hit the bottom when it does......?
7 Raise the rim of the glass to your lips and drink all the contents and you will find it tastes like Dr Pepper. It's a bit gassy but very lively when it is settled let me know what you think if you try it. By the way yes we are well off track.

Bacon sandwiches with HP sauce are in order tomorrow morning I reckon.

Scots porridge is made from oats yes. In a pan with milk (ful fat) untill stirable and just sticking to the spoon if not a bit thicker. Golden syrup is alot thicker than pancake syrup and melts only after 2 mins ish in the bowl. Mmmmmm warm sweet goodness.

If I was a massive Giant I would walk around and drink from a mountain lake infornt of a glacier then wander down to the low lands and see a field with lots of cows and sheep on it. Then I would bend down pick up the field and then fold it in half and eat this massive land sandwich. Yum yum yum. God I need to sober up.

Was that Nutella Sam? Tell you why, if you have a breville cheese toastie maker (like a panini press but seals outside the crust), Nutella and banana is good recovery from a large night out. Im a savoury man myself I lost my sweet tooth @ 16 and I remember it specifically as I could not eat the chocolate fudge cake on my birthday. Reason probably because I had a massive steak with stilton cheese sauce.

Italian bread. Cream cheese in a pinch, ricotta is better ... garden fresh tomatoes; thinly sliced ... butter, salt and pepper ... and some really good olives; not the black ones though, not that there is anything wrong with them.
A bag of chocolate fudge cookies.

Under the broiler, make a bunch of these open-faced, slide into the corner of the couch ... place the bag of cookies, open and within easy reach ... and proceed to scatter crumbs all over ...

Optional. A good movie or some mindless TV playing in the background. Hey, I like some of the infomercials. Besides, this particular one is about the food.

Open a tin of Heinz baked beans and put in a pan and start to heat, add a nob of butter.
Toast four slices of bread under the grill untill golden brown both sides.
Slice cheese to cover and arrange on toast.
Put under the grill untill little bubbles start to appear on the melting cheese.
Take cheese on toast from under the grill and add ground pepper.
Put the cheese on toast on a large plate and then poor the beans over the top of the c-toast.

Magic ingrediant - HP Sauce, just a squirt over the top of the dish.

Whenever I dont know what to eat this is just right, just enough every time.
