He doesnt want to get dirty or take the risk of getting injured. He has to take care of his oil investments. Beside the wealthy do have their privileges.

Because if he got shot the country would be in chaos. Plus this isn't medieval

Why should he. He has all the power and you to kill! All he has to do is put God, War and American interest in one sentnce and 60% of the country will Rally to the cause.

Yah know being pres really doesn't have THAT many financial perks. It's only about 400,000 a year. Okay that may sound a bit snobbish, but coming from a point that many people these days are super high powered CEOs raking in the mega cash. Pres Bush isn't my favorite person in the world and I certainly don't care much for this "war" but the fact of the matter is that he made a mess and needs to clean it up. Plus on the war subject I think it's totally unreasonable that other people bash the pres for the war when they should be supporting our troops.

I am so heartened by Bush's daughters, who have volunteered bravely for military service. This can only be their noble effort to pay tribute to their father's own sacrifice in uniform to his country. Truly inspirational!

No offense, but...Poor Bush??? Poor America!! Literally. We went from a great evconomy to crap. We have no respect from other countries. People hate Americans. And this is because of BUSH. People in other countries look at Americans as a joke. Whether individually we are or not. They base this on our Head of State. Losing a president doesn't stop the world or make America fall apart. Kennedy was killed, the country mourned but the country went on. To answer the question initially posted though, think of the country as a business. Rarely does the CEO actually do the dirty work, that why there are "underlings". Same with the Presidency. Sometimes though, I think it would be a good idea for the prez to get his hands "dirty", congerss members too. Maybe then the President, Senate and whoever would see what our soldiers go through. Long times away from family, missing births, missing deaths...your mom dies of a heart attack, if you're lucky you get 3 days leave then back to duty. Your son is born while you're overseas...well there is video messaging, be happy for that. Our troops should never be forgotten, no matter what we think of who's "running" the country.

If any of us were faced with the technology aval today in the form of arms then I reckon anybody in their right mind would prefer not to fight. Life! He can conjour it but hates the consequences.

All I can say now is thank F++K I dont have a president per say. I tried to mediate and move on from the last thread but it is carrying on is it not? I am not weak but you guys have more to offer than blowing off steam here @ each other. Art George W Bush knows F++K all about Art (no need to comment Alex it's just a point). This site does, lets get back to reality a bit. Hope nobody has a prob with this. x
