I can't get into the caedes chatroom this morning, it keeps saying the connection timed out. Anyone else able to get in?

i have never been able to get in due to some user name problem so i couldn't tell you.

The chatroom isn't working for me. I have never had a problem accessing before. The message is "unable to connect to irc.dal.net."
I have rebooted, any suggestions?

You guys can also try downloading GAIM: Gaim.sourceforge.net
It's an all-in-one IM software and you can use it for IRC as well. If you need any help getting it working, let me know.

A Gaim walkthrough:
- Go to accounts. Click on add.
- Select IRC as protocol.
-At screen name: Enter your nickname
-At server enter: irc.dal.net
-Save once you've done that.
-Connect by setting the account to online in the account tabs
You'll have a Buddy list window come up.
-Under buddies go to "Join a chat" in channel add #caedes.net
-Click on join and you should be set!

Your ISP is blocking your access. BTW, I've added an html IRC gateway for those of you without Java.

I've got the same problem, but got lost in the array of 3 letter acronym's:) How can we solve this problem other than ditching our ISP?

BTW, you can use the HTML IRC gateway via HTTP (with the JVM) in order to bypass your ISP ASAP. /Zephir.cgi?lib=Wiki&page=irc
