I am confused as to why the c-index is so low. I thought it was decent. A couple of people seem to think it was good, but it got votes below 3. If it can be improved, please tell me how instead of just voting low.

Ok, well your link didn't work but, the image isn't based only on votes, I think it has to do with downloads, views, adds to favorites and things like that, you shouldn't feel so bad because it has a low c-index, did you put a lot of work into it? if not, maybe something low is deserved, it could go up, don't forget. My image Visions of the Future, it has a C-Index of 25, I worked really hard on that image, but I don't care about the 25, it is just a number and means nothing to me, so don't feel so bad if the number is low, ok.

Yeah. Well, I thought I did. It took all night to render, and I tweaked it in PSP to give it more icon space on the side.

Personally I probably would give the image a 5 if it came up in my voting booth. There's nothing really wrong with the image, but it doesn't stand out from the crowd and I personally didn't find anything especially appealing about it; there are many fractals on the site and to get a high vote you really need to create something different and special. This isn't to say that I can do better but you wanted feedback so I am providing it.

Personally I really like the colours you used and in general I think it worths better rating than this. But then again, that's just me.You know, I also have people voting on some of my images below 5 and if that's what they think, I respect it. However I wish I knew what they don't like, negative comments can prove to be the most constructive, especially for beginners like me. Either way, you shouldn't get upset over the c-idex or discouraged, just keep doing your best.

An average I can see, and at least you're being honest. But I don't quite understand why so many people seem to be voting 1's and 2's on it. I am rather new at this and if I can improve my work, please let me know how.

I suggest editing your work with the triangles, I usually start with a couple of lines in Apophysis and I work from there.

Since you asked, if it had come up in the voting booth, I would maybe give a 5, possibly even a 4. There is nothing that stands out at all, so I wouldn't have rated above a 5 (which is average after all - nothing to be ashamed of). Votes of 1, 2 & 3 are perhaps a little harsh. I can't think of any constructive suggestions though. Sorry.

Well, I deleted it since it had only a c-index of 7 and since apparently so many people seemed to think it was so terrible. I will try doing another one with the same colors later.
