I have two of the same spec PowerMac G3's I am working on, they both have the exact same problem. When I boot, or restart, I get the Apple chime, and that's it - black screen. The only way to get it to boot is to reset the PRam every time. I have done some research and found that I might be dealing with two dead PRAM batteries. Does anyone have any input on this problem?

Sorry, I don't know anything about Macs. If the PRAM batteries is the same as CMOS batteries in PC's then that sounds like your problem. Should be easy to fix by just replacing them with new ones.
